Welcome to Smokey's Bunny Barn. My name is Erik and I raise Mini Lops in Eastern, WA. I focus on perfecting the breed to the "standard of perfection". Smokey's Bunny Barn began in the May of 2009. I have been a part of 4h and it has taught me a lot of lessons in working with rabbits and fellow breeders. I shoot to produce Mini Lops of the best show quality and personality. The health and care of the rabbits is my most important interest and my goal is to help others use the same concept in their own rabbitry. I am a member of ARBA and MLRCA. Please feel free to look around and ask any questions you may have Located in Pasco, WA I can also be found on facebook- "Smokey's Bunny Barn"

This is the buck who started it all. CS's Smokey was the first mini lop I purchased. He is to this day one of the best pets I have owned! Smokey was the lucky mini lop to have my rabbitry named after as well. He was my fit and show rabbit for 4h and the one mini lop I could rely on to sit still while I held him. Smokey was the reason I actually decided to pursue into 4h and then into showing them. Sure....this sounds cheesy, but he really is the reason I wanted to get into rabbits for more than just pets. When I first started showing he was one that I put on the table. He bottomed out nearly every show...and you would think that would be discouraging, but at that point he was just my pet and I didn't know what the judges were looking for...better yet what I was looking for. Sad to say, my buck CS's Smokey didn't produce any mini lops that are in my herd today. Though I loved his personality, he didn't leave the quality offspring behind. However, he holds the honor of being the surname on every rabbit I produce, and that may be the greatest of all!
